We create high-quality graphical prints that provide context to interesting subjects, time periods and events. Our work has won numerous design awards and is frequently cited in books, magazines and on the web. Most of our graphics are originals. A few designs are reproductions of restored antique graphics. Each graphic is created by integrating detailed content and data with a beautiful design. Our work is created with great care, objectively presenting accurate data derived from reliable sources.

Inspired by Lev Manovich’s definition of “information aesthetics”, this weblog explores the symbiotic relationship between creative design and the field of information visualization. More specifically, it collects projects that represent data or information in original or intriguing ways.

Delft Tegels
I thought to work on a series of illustrations using the delft tegels as an inspiration. The main idea would be to recall the blue paint on white milky background. I’m not looking for a china effect but simply the core of the design.

I’d like to work on a series of Delft style drawings and again the core design is what I want to achieve. I love the naivety and the simplicity of the themes chosen to decorate plates and tiles (tagels) so I’d like as well to choose the subjects for my drawings with the same attitude but adding a very subtle sarcasm or critique.
